Flowers are blooming and bikes are being dusted off as we roll into May. Just in time to cash in my Mom's Day coupons for one free activity of my choosing from each kiddo!

FIT4MOM Mother's Day Celebration on Alki—Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7
Free events but donations (diapers, wipes, monetary) for Westside Baby are welcome. Plus goodie bags and raffle prizes. Please pre-enroll and feel free to share this with any of your friends.

BIKING
May is National Bike Month and there are several local events happening.
- Delridge Bike Rodeo—Saturday, May 21 / 10AM-1PM
Delridge Community Center / 4501 Delridge Way SW - Delridge Parks & Art Ride—Saturday, May 28 / 9:30AM
A just under nine mile ride starting at the Delridge Community Center with stops at parks and public art along the way. Free but registration required for limited spots. Hosted by West Seattle Bike Connections, Delridge Community Center and Cascade Bicycle Club. - Low and no-cost tune-ups with Bike Works.
- Alki Beach (Near 57th & Alki)—Saturday, May 14 / 10AM-2PM
- Spokane Street Bridge Celebration Station on Bike Everywhere Day—Friday, May 20 / 4-7PM
- Bikes for all with Outdoors for All—Saturday, May 14@Alki Beach
In tandem with the tune-up event at Alki this amazing organization will be there as well with adaptive bicycles. I don't see it listed on their calendar yet but got info via an email. - From training wheels to ten-speeds—biking in West Seattle

LOW TIDE BEACH EXPLORING—starts mid-May
- The next round of low tides (-1.5 or lower) that are best for exploring start Sunday, 5/15 through Saturday, 5/21.
- The Seattle Aquarium's Beach Naturalist Program, where volunteers will be at two local beaches to answer questions, starts Sunday, 5/29 and runs through August. Their website has a PDF of locations and dates.

Saw this pop up last week. In-person camps are back and will be at Delridge and Roxhill. - RecTennis Summer Camp@Solstice Park Added 5/9/22
Looks like this camp is back! Ages 6-14, multiple sessions between June 10 and September 2. Monday-Friday, 8AM-12PM.
